This was an experimental piece and also a fun character interaction sketch between my character Morgan and my friend character Lord Hydra I tried many things in this piece because for one I suck at backgrounds and wanted to work on them, two I have never been able to fully show how big one of my characters is until my more recent works with perspective. So yeah a lot of experiments with this piece and when I think of a good story I'll write one for it
Ok. So there are only two things that are bothering me with this picture. They can be fixed or they don't have to be. Its all about your chioce in the matter, I'm just saying what my eye doesn't seem to look right.
One: That back tail fin looks very large. I know that you are working on perspective and I'm keeping that in mind. But the fin still looks overly large, if you size it down just a bit, I think it would look fine. Right now it looks like you have a really long tail or just a huge tail fin.
Two: Why does your metal dragon have such a small head? The thick neck of his and I'm guessing the big body mass, he has such a small head. I would think, for proportional reasons that his head would be bigger in size. But being the fantasy world you can do what ever u wish, so if this is supposed to be your dragon's look then you don't have to change it.
I have no complaints of the background and the color usage is just fine, so good job on that. And the metal dragon in forest environment makes me chuckle, like he got lost or something.
To which are you referring? The silver? Or the long handsome one? the silver is actually my character Morgan, Lord Hydra would be the trial colored on she be conversing with.
